Abstract

This essay and the arguments contained therein shall try to address focal points of EU (this sense, the wording “European migration law and policy” contained in this essay’s title refer to the European Union) migration law and policy and are, almost necessarily, reflective on the past. By definition, this essay can only paint with a broad brush and try to highlight the main decisions taken as they were at the time. Also, this essay shall mainly address and focus on third-state migration;
